Warehousing around

Last night a group of us went to a warehouse party in Brissie. I had never been to one of these before so I was keen to go and check it out. It is basically just bands playing in a location down one of the side alleys. The best part is that it is BYO...well now that I am sitting here with a slight hangover.. maybe that was the worst part. In a room full of stiffs, who were perhaps bobbing their knees when they got really into it, we were that group that were dancing like idiots and on the recieving end of long judging stares.

Below are a few photos from last night but I have also thrown in just some images from the past couple of weeks. Some of my brothers birthday and just some cute nature shots that I have taken.

Sugar & Spice & All Things Nice

Like I said earlier I am always on the internet and am always stumbling across inspiring blogs and beautiful graphics. I have made a deal with myself... If I stop on an image for longer than a few seconds I will save it to a folder on my computer. I just figure that if an image made me look at it twice it is good enough to save.

So here are some images that I have saved over the past week. Unfortunately I am not exactly sure what websites I pulled them from.. but here are some links to some darn good blogs that I found this week so good chance some of them came from them.

A gorgeous bag by the lovely Scout & Catalogue

Gorgeous top, love the vibrant juicy red and the baggy yet feminine fit

Makes me hungry just looking at it.

Jewellery and more jewellery

Love it... at the end of the day we are all wild and free

After a long day at work nothing is more satisfying than a long hot bat.. oh and add a glass of merlot and your set.

Bohemian Doll

Well I decided to give Bohemian Doll a lil makeover. This should be the last one for quite a while.
The last header was just not saying what I wanted it to say... it was a little too stuctured for my liking. I wanted something a little more messy, free and well...bohemian.

At the moment I feel like I have been living in front of my computer. I work 8 hours a day behind one and than I seem to come home and attach myself to one again. I am like one of those sucker fish who find a whale to attach to. Well on the plus side at least I am always finding new things on the world wide web to post here.

Capturing an emotion

I know I have blogged about Garance Dore before www.garancedore.fr but there was a pharagraph she wrote on her blog that I absolutely loved.

'When I put my bags down on the 87th floor of the Park Hyatt in Shanghai, I couldn’t believe my eyes. I grabbed my camera, and understood right away that I would struggle to get all my emotion into one shot.'

She couldn't have put it better - capturing an emotion. Wether it be happy, fun, inspiring, angry, love etc it is about trying to capture a moment in time, an emotion, and trying to hold onto it for yourself and share it with other.

Waterfall Billboard

A perfect example of thinking outside of 'the sqaure' in order to make an impactful statement. This waterfall billboard is amazing, beautiful and aggressive.

Mixed In

Below is just a bunch of images that I have found over the last couple of weeks and haven’t had a chance to post. They are all mixed together. So there is a little bit of Audrina Partridge and the wrap up of The Hills. Some Megan Fox, just because she is gorgeous, and some graphic design stuff that I found on the web and liked. I especially like the series of the Wizard of Oz done by a Sydney Illustrator. Enjoy!
