merry christmas

This will be my last post for this year. sob. It is my last day at work and I fly home to my family tomorrow morning for Christmas - where I will be without internet access - (deep breaths) my mother does not even own a computer. However I am looking forward to the annual Victoria Secret Fashion Show on Christmas eve.. Yay. Although watching stick-thin girls in underwear the day before the biggest feast of the year is probably not the best idea.

I fly back on New years eve and than will spend a few more days drinking, eating and attending Summerfieldayze on the Gold Coast! So I will have a lot to report on in the new year. So until 2012!

I recently purchased Aveeno POSITIVELY RADIANT™ Daily Moisturiser with SPF 15. I can’t remember how much it was but I think it was about $20 to $30, which is really cheap to me (coming from someone who has paid up to $90 on the latest skincare crazes). So I wanted to do a quick review for you on this product.

Well I have only been using it for a week now and I absolutely love it. I have already noticed a change in my skin, it appears a lot less dry and my pores don’t seem to be as visible. I have been trying a lot of face creams lately trying to find something that will work for me, but without costing me an arm and a leg. This product has definitely been the best.

So if you are looking for an inexpensive moisturiser, I highly recommend Aveeno. I am going to continue using it and see how I go.

I love how Chanel is not just clothing, it is a lifestyle. Confidant woman just owning it and indulging in luxury and in life.. Of course it is easy to be confidant when you are a gorgeous - I only eat carrot sticks for dinner - model. But hey I still like the attitude.

silly season

I know have been a bit slack in getting posts up lately, I guess it's just that time of year when things get a bit crazy. I have had my long distance boyfriend visit for a week, my mother visit for a week and on top of that work had been even more busy than normal. So I thought I would put a few pics of what I have been up to over the past few weeks.

Went to Byron Bay with the boyfriend, the first time I had ever been there and had heard great things about it so I was super excited. We stayed overnight in the only place that hadn't been booked out - The Aquarious, a backpackers. Even though it was a backpackers the room was nice and we overlooked the pool and the barbecue area that was always filled with music and tanned bohemian tourists. We spent two days lazing on the beach, browsing the shops and exploring the lighthouse. The town was filled with bronzed Europeans, it made me want to quit my job, hire a van and start selling dreamweavers at the markets.

Mum was the next visiter so we took her to the shops and the usual Brisbane attractions. We had some of the best curry at a restaurant over in Bulimba and we discovered a cafe in kangaroo point that I need to revisit soon.

Other than that went out with my friends quite a few times, tooooo many beers in the park, boozy lunches at the Fox and just generally wasting money. But hey life is short.

legging it

FIRST OF ALL. I sometimes wonder if anyone reads this blog.. but if anyone does I want to apologise for not posting for a while.. I have been sick for a little while :( But I am much better now so I intend to get back into the full swing of things.

SECOND OF ALL. This pic I got off the Cobra Snake.. Just noticed the leggings on this chic and kind of like them... I don't know if I could pull off the biker shoes as well.

whats in my bag

Okay so I am pretty obsessed with beauty products.. I have considered on many occasions to pursue a career in makeup artistry if it wasn't for the weekend work and low pay.. however after I travel you never know. Anyway I am getting sidetracked the reason for this post is to show you what I have in my makeup bag.. and trust me this has come from a lot of trial and error and although I am always on the look out for new products this is what I am working with at the moment.

1. Revlon Photo Ready Foundation in natural Beige which I mix with Estee Lauder double wear. I like the consistancy better when the too are mixed as the estee is too matt on its own and the revlon doesn't have the staying power. But together I find them the perfect mix.
2. MAC Prep and Prime for primer.
3. Colossal Mascara by Maybelline This product is cheap but effective.
4. Laurer Mercier Translucent Powder I like using a translucent now instead of a normal powder now as it doesn't seem to adopt that cakey appearance and you don't have to worry about it changing colour throughout the day. I find this powder to be very fine and therefore has a nice finish.
5. MAC Studio Finish Concealer I use e yellow tone in this concealer as I find it covers my dark circles under my eyes. I usually apply it after my foundation to prevent product waste.
6. MAC Bronzer in refined golden.
7. Stila Smudgepot in black. This eyeliner lasts and lasts. I totally recommend this! I am a bit in love with eyeliner.

So another crazy Saturday night out in the city. Lots of dancing and drinking... My shoe breaking and losing everything in my purse only to get it all back again by the end of the night.

Willow Smith

How confidant is this girl... 9 years old and she is not afraid to wear whatever the fuck she wants. Naturally this confidance is a result of her awesome parents.. Will and Jada Smith.. Two people who seem to have it together when it comes to outlooks on life.

 Have a feeling we will be seeing alot more of this little one.

Sass and Bide

I am a bit of a fan of the aussie fashion label Sass and Bide. Although I cannot afford to deck my closet out in their pieces I still admire their collection. I included a picture of the heart shapes that they have hanging in their stores right now.. as they are just adorable and I would love to create something like this for my room in the future.

It was my birthday on Friday last week.. so I spent the entire weekend indulging. Shopping, hair appointment, Saturday night dancing, lunches, dinners.. I have no money left to show for it but I have some nice pictures J

summer fitness

As the weather warms up and the idea of the beach sounds more and more becoming, I feel suddenly aware of my lack of tone. I fought with the idea of going back to the gym for a few weeks before I decided that both my mind and body needed it. So this morning it was me and the gym once again. Went well I think.. had a few moments where I was so out of breath and felt like I wanted to vomit but apart from that I feel good… I suddenly feel even more excited for beach weather.

I heart sunnies

Today is Friday… which means last workday… which means two days off. Woohoo!! So a few of us took an extended lunch break and went down to the pub for a $10 steak and chips and free beer.. Talk about bargain. Anyway here is a photo we took while there and the reason I wanted to post it was.. check out the sunnies. If you remember a previous post I put up with love heart sunnies.. well I found my very own pair at Forever New.. $30. Luv them.

I wanted to add some photos I took in Thailand earlier this year. I took a bundle of photos while I was there but I thought I would quickly add these. First of all the bunny photo.. it is cute and adorable while at the same time being incredibly sad.
